Cyprus real estate continues to be in demand among foreign buyers, who choose to purchase properties in the coastal areas of the island - Limassol and Paphos. Nevertheless, the number of transactions in Larnaca and Famagusta has significantly increased in comparison to the same period of 2018.
Out of 742 sales transactions that were registered around the island, 325 properties were acquired by the foreigners. Non-EU buyers purchased 221 property, whereas, EU citizens, only 104 properties. The most sales were completed in Paphos (113), followed by Limassol (82), Larnaca (71), Famagusta (40) and Nicosia (19).
